Intermodal rail operator Hupac has announced the start of a new rail connection between C.Ro Ports Zeebrugge and Novara in Northern Italy. The rail service also offers the possibility to connect with CLdN’s roll-on/roll-off destinations in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The first departure of this new rail connection is set for 11 December 2017 and will offer 5 round trips per week. In January, the frequency will be raised to 6 round trips per week.
In Novara, the trains will arrive at the terminal of Interporto CIM.
Hupac says the new rail connection is the answer to the market’s continued request for more trailer transport between Europe and Italy. With CLdN’s connections to the United Kingdom and Ireland via Zeebrugge, the cargo can be shipped to Purfleet, Killingholme and Dublin.
