On 5 September Depre Storage & Handling, a Bruges based company specialized in the storage and handling of broken rice and agro products, officially opened its new warehouses and the new quay wall. The 6 million euro investment raises the storage capacity from 33,000 tons to 65,000 tons.
DSH now disposes of 13 multipurpose warehouses, both for the companies of Group Depre and external customers, designed for the storage of animal feed and human nutrition. The excellent location of Bruges, with the highways A11, E403 and E40, and the possibility to supply cargoes via coasters, barges, containers, trucks, turn DSH into an ideal hub for intermediate storage of commodities for the Belgian and French compound-feed industry.
In addition, the Zeebrugge port authority built a new quay wall at the Groot Handelsdok, allowing to receive coasters having a draught of 6.7 meters.
