The Artes Brugge Cruise Tower, which will partly function as Port of Zeebrugge’s cruiseterminal, has reached a new construction phase. On 8 November 2017, the highest point of the construction, about 34 meters high, was reached and celebrated by Artes-Depret, the port authority and the city of Bruges.

The ABC-Tower will be a multifunctional building once it is finished next summer. Cruisefacilities will be installed on  the ground floor and the  first floor with a check-in/check-out area, baggage claim, waiting lounge, etc.

The building will also feature as headquarters for port enterprise ‘Artes-Depret’. The company is also the project's contractor.

At the top floor, local restaurant holder ‘Ter Doest’ will open a rooftop restaurant ‘NJORD’, which will give customers a stunning view of the port ànd the city of Bruges in the distance.

Also at the top floor, a visiting centre to introduce the port of Zeebrugge in an interactive way will be set up to entertain the visitors.

The port of Zeebrugge has grown into Flanders’ largest cruise port in a rapid pace. The maritime access, and the proximity of the city of Bruges and other Flemish cultural and coastal cities, puts Zeebrugge high on the list of the cruise liners and passengers. The annually growing number of cruise passengers resulted in a strong need for a cruise building with the necessary facilities.
