International Car Operators (ICO) and German Rhenus Holding will cooperate in order to focus on the handling and storage of conventional breakbulk and project cargo. Zeebrugge Breakbulk Terminal will be operational in the fall 2010 at the Northern Inletdock in the Zeebrugge inner port.
Both ICO and Rhenus have considerable knowhow and experience in the field of wood products, steel, agricultural and conventional loads.
ICO will concentrate its car volumes on the Bastogne terminal, where the stevedore has a concession of 90 hectares, which can be extended.
The joint venture between ICO and Rhenus is to strengthen Zeebrugge's position as breakbulk port.
